At august 12. there were a great gathering of traditional drum-dance groups at Bujora Sukuma Museum. The day was marking the ending of a visit from Denmark, by the Utamaduni Dance Troupe. 8 members of the danish friendship-dance troupe was invited by wanasesilia dance society to visit Bujora, and 3 different villages; Ngogo, Mwasubuya and Isesa. In all 3 villages there were arranged shindano (dance competition) with local groups.
This time it was arranged in a way that the shindano always ended with a collaboration where all groups met and danced for and with eachother. At august 12. all groups were invited for at ‘farewell party’ to the guest, and a gathering and exchange of dances, drum rhythms and beautiful songs.
